Half a decade using 1Password
Long long ago in a galaxy quite near
One purchased 1Password 4 for Mac
(Family License).
Passwords became unique per site
And secure, the hackers to fight.
Voluminous forum notes on line
Made UNIX man pages look quite fine.
Confused one became
As version 7's not the same.
"Would subscribing be right?"
lacked clarity and light.
Many forum notes were exchanged
and one's mind finally changed.
With many iterations
and lots of impatience
the change was made
and subscription was paid.
As for documentation,
it was on vacation.
One searched the support forum
till the brain became numb.
The results were still rum.
The answers later did come
Some little and too late.
A shining knight came take up the fight
And Joe Kissel did write
Take Control of 1Password (4.0).
One reading his words said, Oh,
Now I know!
One's joy is complete
'cause 1Password is beat.
Dropbox conflicts will cease.
AgileBitsCloud brings one peace.
Transition woe's on the run.
One now reads the forum for fun.

I don’t believe I’ve ever been immortalized in verse before. I’m delighted. Carry on.

I hate to spoil the party but shouldn't. "beat" be "BEST". Perhaps "'cause 1Password can't be beat" ?
But I do wear hearing aids so the word could be fine for those with normal hearing?

Ah, I think you may be right. My brain must have interpolated when reading originally. Probably just another case of autocorrect rightly fixing a typo but wrongly selecting the wrong word when there were multiple viable options. :)

Beat (as into submission) is the intend word and meaning. I had previously performed the role of gadfly to AgileBits by repeatedly bemoaning the lack of coherent documentation -- the response was, invariably, "Search the forum. It's out there somewhere."
Joe Kissell has provided that coherent view for me. 1Password now must do my bidding.

It sounds like you really took control of 1Password. ;) Joe Kissell is the man! In case it helps anyone else (since he was too modest to give himself a plug earlier), he writes great books on a lot of software topics:

And rather than searching the forum (though that is a useful resource too, especially for the most specific or vague questions), we have a lot of great guides for common tasks/features on on support site:
And of course we're already here to answer questions too. Cheers! :)
