Fetching Favicons

I’m using 1Password since about 10 years (without subscription).

Well I still love that rich icons are loaded because I’m having more than 500 items in my vault. The only icon I’m missing is the 1Password icon.

I added it to other password managers and they fetch it. Why it’s not showing within 1Password?

    Hi @LeChuck666! Welcome to the forum!

    Just to clarify: are you referring to the icon for the 1Password.com website? In other words, do you have a Login item in 1Password with the URL of "1Password.com" for which the rich icon is not being fetched?

    Hello @ag_ana - Yes.

    If I enter my 1Password credentials (and https://1password.com as url) in Bitwarden e.g. a icon is shown (seems to be fetched by the website).

    At my 1Password vault all entries are having these icons as well but - strange - not at 1Password which is also filled with url and other details.

    @LeChuck666: I don't understand. I've got a collection of 1Password accounts myself, and they all have Rich Icons. I guess maybe you're creating these Login items by hand for some reason, and using the wrong URL. You literally won't have an account for https://1password.com -- no one does. If you use the correct URL -- either a custom one if you're using a business account, or https://my.1password.com as an individual or family -- you'll get the Rich Icon. Please give that a try. Is there a reason you're not just using the default "starter kit" Login you got when you signed up? Did you delete it?

    Hello @brenty

    Well I do not have an membership but as well as other logins (e.g. my iPhone, MacBook...) I used the url line to fetch an favicon to get a better view.

    I double-checked the url several times. So it's no dealbreaker but I'm confused.

    1Password 7.2.7 -->

    Bitwarden -->

    @LeChuck666: No worries! Glad that helped! And I'd love to know how you came to create the Login in the first place. Maybe it's something we need to account for. :)

    Well @brenty - I created this login because 1Password is one of the most used apps at my iPhone, so I created an excellent rated master password which is really hard to remember. As a training for my own I marked it as favorit and every time when I'm using 1Password I take a look on it, repeat all 24 digits, numbers, special counts in my mind and see if I'm correct.

    Sounds stupid but... Well you know.

    Also a big thank you for your products. I've spend more than $ 200,- within the last 10 years and won't regret any Cent! As long as a subscription isn't mandatory and I can buy upgrades - I will! Thank you!

    Not stupid at all! Thanks so much for explaining. I'm not sure it's a common use case, but it may help me understand something else in the future. And thank you for the kind words, and your support over the years. We couldn't do what we do without you and the rest of our awesome customers. :chuffed:
