Why does 1PX offer the password to sign back in to 1PX after inactivity?

I can sign back in with a click instead of typing my master password.

I think this is insecure but it is convenient!

Hey @nre – I appreciate your concern here, but I don't think you have anything to worry about. Based on your screenshot, you have 1Password X running. That's one of our browser extensions that offers an inline menu to fill your Logins. It's possible for 1Password X to be unlocked (like it is for you now) when you're not signed into a 1Password account on the web. Therefore, 1Password X will offer to fill your password as long as you have it stored in your 1Password account. If you click on the 1Password X icon in your browser, you'll see that it's unlocked. If you lock it (click the gear icon > Lock), you'll no longer see the inline menu and you'll have to type in your password manually on https://my.1password.com.

Thank you for explaining, @kaitlyn . I did not realise that the tab (which had opened after clicking a button in the 1PX extension) was the 1P website and not the 1PX extension.

Absolutely! I'm glad it's cleared up now. :chuffed:
