1Password does not sync with edits or when quit and relaunched

I added a new login to 1Password and it will not sync with iCloud. I quit the app and reopened it. But no sync. I did not try restarting the computer - but really I should not have to do that. Under sync in preference it just says "1 hour ago" - I for one would really like to see a "sync now" button.
