Installing the software shouldn't be this difficult
I need to download and install the software on a new system. I go to the agilebits website to download the software. I don't see a download button, so I think I'll sign in. I try, but I need a secret key. To get the secret key I need to launch the application. Catch-22 comes to mind. I really don't know what I'm supposed to do in this situation.

Hi @TomWolsky
You can find our downloads page here:
Download for Mac | 1Password
Do you currently have a 1Password 7 for Mac license or a 1Password subscription membership?

Thanks Ben. I have a subscription.

Perfect. I would highly recommend printing a copy of your Emergency Kit if you don't already have one. That will contain your Secret Key, which you will need to sign in to your membership account:
## Get to know your Emergency Kit | 1Password
If you don't have access to your Secret Key right now, you can get it in 1Password for Mac from an existing installation by selecting 1Password > Preferences > Accounts > [your account] > Secret Key. Alternatively if you search your 1Password database for a Login for 1password.com you should have a Login item which will contain your Secret Key as well.

Thanks very much Ben. I have the emergency kit on another system.
I guess downloading the app from the App Store isn't a solution?

That's a good start, but again I'd highly recommend having a hard copy on paper. :+1: It is possible to download 1Password for Mac from the App Store, if you'd like.
