WWDC19 - iPadOS and iOS13
Can Agilebits comment on the new iPadOS? Apple has split up the OS for iPad into its own category and Dark Mode will be here soon!
I wonder when 1Password for iPadOS will be available (Minimum A8 CPU - iPad Mini 4) iOS13 now requires a minimum of iPhone 6s, 6s Plus and SE (A9 CPU). As it is separate from iOS, I presume a brand new 1Password version will have to be released incompatible to iOS or are they the same?

A new iPad will support all of Apple's latest stuff and ours as well, so I don't think you can really go wrong. It's just a matter of figuring out which one...which is not necessarily easy. ;)

Choices, choices, choices. Also with the new i9 Macs more choices.
Let's not start on the new 2019 Mac Pro or iMac Pro series' crazy prices :) Off topic anyway.
Thanks.

iOS is lagging behind re: Watchtower and Android has got a better implementation of it than 1Password 7 for iOS. I hope improvements will be made with the release of 1Password for iOS13. Hopefully, it will remain compatible with iOS 12 too!

Too early to say on any of those counts, but I'm sure we'll have more to say in the autumn. :)

There has been some unhappiness about the change in 1Password Generator from 1Password 6.x to 7.x for Mac.
https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/104537/password-generator-v7-3-mac
I do like the old 1Password for Mac and iOS Password Generator look. I hope it would not be too great a departure.
There already has been a change from the past to the current Windows and 1Password X versions. The reaction from me about the change in 1Password's Password Generator in Windows is mixed. As I have stated elsewhere, no all numeric PIN number generation in Windows yet.

It's part of the new password generator in 1Password X already, so it's probably just a matter of time before it finds its way into the other apps. :)

I suppose I, and others, have been living in a dual world and between local and cloud storage! We tolerate the changes, but only partially. Keep up with the improvements.I have nothing to say about cloud which haven't been mentioned elsewhere.

Understood. :)

I hope IOS 13/iPad OS will improve on 1Password wrt the Keychain, I still prefer the old pre iOS 12 way.
There is an annoyance with 1Password keychain with iOS 12. I get a nearly endless scrolling list with many logins on some sites. I clicked the key icon at the right side of the Mobile Safari screen. I am unable to search for Logins under the iOS 12 Keychain method I don’t see the login names like I do with 1Password.

1Password isn't involved with Keychain. If you're having trouble with that, you can disable it in iOS Settings though. Generally we recommend that since it can cause this kind of confusion: "Is this 1Password?", "Where are my passwords saved?", etc.

OK. Thanks. I will look at it again when iOS 13/iPadOS is released.
I looked at Settings, it was 1Password AutoFill in Passwords and Accounts. Keychain was unchecked leaving only 1Password. Still confuses me a little.

I hear ya. I'm sure that Apple will continue to iterate on it though. It's incredibly useful, even if imperfect. Cheers! :)

There is nothing to do except to wait a few months. In the meantime, thanks for the help.

The are some longstanding issues within iOS. There is captive[.]apple[.]com. Cannot just paste passwords there. Also I have an issue with copy/paste passwords in Apple’s Personal hotspot.
1Password doesn’t work everywhere in iOS. AppleID inside iOS doesn’t always work for some reason (with pasted passwords).
I don’t have much hope they will be fixed.

I'm honestly not sure if it's intentional, or just something they haven't changed yet. Given that Autofill works nearly everywhere passwords are usually needed, I can't say it's a huge deal to not be able to fill in those places on the rare occasion when I need to sign in there. But I wouldn't mind if it became possible. :)

1Password in my estimation works in 95%+ of iOS? It's the less than 5% that is frustrating sometimes.
Agilebits has already moved away from Categories, and even "Accounts" has a different meaning now than from 5 years ago. Agilebits have moved away from Folders and, very likely, we aren't getting them back although there are use cases for them.
I still use Apple routers, now discontinued, which does not integrate well with the new 1Password versions. Airport Utility is an issue.
I have found Android are a bit more friendly to the 5% which 1Password doesn't cover in iOS, like saving Wi-fi router "captive" info. However, I am on iOS nearly all the time.
I suppose it is a moot point re: Tags vs Folders etc., Folders representing the past and we’re not going back there? WLAN Sync on Windows, not adding it back?
All this jumping back and forth between iOS, Desktop and Android and back!
Thank you

Airport Utility has not received an update in some time (due to the fact Apple has discontinued the devices that it works with). I'm not sure any of the difficulties faced there are directly related to 1Password.

Those both seem like fair assessments.
Agilebits have moved away from Folders and, very likely, we aren't getting them back although there are use cases for them.
We have some improvements planned for tags such that hopefully very few will be missing folders anymore after they're rolled out.

Thanks. Linking to Documents is an often requested feature currently unavailable in iOS.
iPadOS is gaining features over iOS 13. Between Desktop - Mac/PC, Tablet, Mobile - IOS and Android, it looks like a 3 way split now with MacOS, iPadOS and iOS. 1Password for iOS 13 may not get to Link to Documents but 1Password for iPadOS may get it?
Just my observation from how iPad OS is splitting/evolving from iOS. iPadOS is getting external drive support. But iOS won’t. I hope IOS does get the ability to link to Documents but, maybe not.
Appreciate your hard work even if not everything goes to plan (for us end users). Like no own cloud support.

@wkleem: You can actually add a new linked Document from right within an item's details:
But currently 1Password for iOS can only add Documents from Photos. We get very few requests for more ways to "link" items, and frankly I'm not sure it would be very useful unless we can have it support other file types. Maybe someday. Cheers! :)

Thanks. I thought about PDF. I now get, in email, a password based PDF document. The PDF document needs a password which I need to construct by following instructions.
I saw, in one of the discussions, here, in these forums a similar request about password storage from one of these types of PDFs. I could not locate the other discussion.

Thanks for pointing it out as I haven't explored this area much.

Yeah, I'd love for us to have more flexibility with Documents in general, but especially on mobile. Thanks for your feedback on this! :)

BitBot definitely works, but is only used under specific conditions. Anyway, thanks for the kind words. Cheers! :)

I am sad although it is not unexpected to see local vaults gone from 1Password 7.3.3. Now, subscription is the only way to create a vault. I am a subscriber so I am unaffected. Dropbox cut back on the free tier no. of devices to 3 so it would be hard to sync anyway.

Yep; membership is definitely the way forward. :)
