iP Desktop - NO ACCOUNT - moving to another Mac

I need help figuring out how to get 1P7 from one system to another with a legacy desktop non-cloud account.

No Secret Key or Setup Code
No Emergency Kit
No Account in 1P/preferences/account

I've created a bootable OSX on another drive and tried to open 1P from external and it won't let me in without these credentials that I don't have, never had, apparently never will have (without being forced into a subscription).

Any ideas?

@Kengel - I'm really not clear what you're attempting to accomplish here, but it will help a lot if you can give us some more detail about the specifics of your setup. Please tell us:

    1. What specific version of macOS you're running.
    2. What specific version of 1Password for Mac you have installed (or are trying to install)
    3. How you sync your data (I understand you don't have a 1password.com account, but what ARE you using for sync. Dropbox? iCloud? Something else?)
    4. What specific steps you're taking (as well as where things aren't working as you think they should), and maybe
    5. What your overall goal here is? That's the part I'm really not clear on. Are you migrating from an existing Mac to a newer one? Something else?

    Existing- Sierra.
    New bootable SSD external- Mojave
Goal - two different bootable drives with different OSX flavors - both able to use 1P
    Most current 1Password v7
    Sync - Dropbox

What I tried was to run the 1P program installed on the Sierra HD’s/system while booted from the Mojave ssd. It’s asking for credentials I don’t have

Sorry typing on a phone w 1 finger right now...

Just guessing but maybe I have to download 1P and install on the Mojave ssd?

OK, I'm back home and online - the version in full -
    1Password 7
    Version 7.3 (70300020)
    1Password Store
The above is running fine on an internal fusion running Sierra.
I'me building a bootable external Mojave SSD to test things out and keep running into items I need to unlock - so I just figured it would be easy to just run the program (installed on the internal Sierra) while booted from the eternal SSD (Mojave). This bootable SSD has nothing on it other than OSX - nothing. Most programs run fine like this - without the them actually being installed on the boot drive. But I'm getting asked by 1P to enter all credentials including the Secret Key which I don't have/never got. I end up being repeatedly sent to look for it in preferences/account - which is blank.

    Hope this makes sense?

    Hi @Kengel,

But I'm getting asked by 1P to enter all credentials including the Secret Key which I don't have/never got.

If you don't have a 1Password Membership, you don't have a Secret Key, so you are in the wrong window. When you first launch 1Password, the app shows you a list of locations, asking you where your 1Password data is stored. It sounds like you clicked on the "1Password.com" option there, but that's not the right one for you.

If you choose where your data is currently stored, you will be able to configure 1Password without a Secret Key on this second drive as well.

@Kengel - most programs are not 1Password, with its security considerations. If you're booting from an external drive with a different version of macOS and then trying to launch 1Password 7 on your main boot drive, this not only can but will cause problems...as you've noticed. It's not a recommended configuration or setup. If you want to continue with this kind of dual-boot setup, I'd take the time to install both Dropbox and 1Password on the Mojave partition; it's the only configuration that we can support and that won't potentially give you problems.

Thanks Lars - this makes sense based on what I was experiencing. Will give it another go after doing the installs on the boot drive!
