Please add a category for Inventory

Over a year ago, you were discussing adding the option to setup custom categories and we have yet to see that come to fruition. Until this is done, can you please add a category for Inventory? It would be exactly like the software inventory with the addition of the following fields.

  1. Serial Number
  2. Model Number
  3. Warranty Expiration
  4. Change Publisher to Store and provide store contact info, phone and purchase details.
  5. Warranty Contact information . (Company Details, Warranty Expiration
  6. Add ability to add photos from Phone/Tablet Gallery.

Adding a custom category template is long overdue.
Thanks

@itsonlycomputers: We have no plans to add additional categories ourselves, as everyone has a different idea of what would be appropriate -- for example your request here. It would take just as much work to update seven apps to support a single new category as it would to update them to support custom categories. So that's not really an efficient use of time and resources either. We'd rather find a solid solution that scales, which is why we've been experimenting with custom categories to strike the right balance before doing a ton of work across multiple platforms. In the mean time, Secure Notes with custom fields offer a lot of flexibility. Cheers! :)

I too would very much appreciate a custom template for Inventory. Other data elements needed in addition to those above are:

    Purchased from
    Purchase Date
    Purchase Price
    Make
    Model

    Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback @mwd01. As brenty explained above, we have no plans to add additional category at this time, so your best best for now would be to use a Secure Note with custom fields ;)
