Which extension to use in Firefox - 1Password or 1Password X?
I recently reinstalled Windows and after reinstalling all my apps, I discovered that I had both 1Password extensions installed in Firefox. I found the page on the website that says you can install one or the other, but (aside from needing the Windows app, which I have) it didn't make clear the pros and cons of one vs the other (or both). I did notice that with both extensions installed, I am, in some ways, having a better experience than before the Windows reinstall, e.g. the Firefox extension(s) now work with with Windows facial recognition unlock.
1Password Version: 7.3.684
Extension Version: 1PX = 1.15.3, 1P = 4.7.5.90
OS Version: Win 10 Pro v 1903
Sync Type: 1Password.com

@davidcwalls: Thanks for asking! If you want OS-level features and capabilities like Windows Hello, and being able to use 1Password outside the web browser, at least for now, I'd recommend using the 1Password desktop app/extension:
https://support.1password.com/1password-extension/
You can always get the latest version here (though the browser will generally update it automatically):
https://1password.com/downloads/#browsers
But we're working toward 1Password X being able to integrate with the desktop app in the future as well. The reason that 1Password X exists is because a lot of people use 1Password only in their browser, and a sizable number of people are unable to install our desktop apps anyway (e.g. Chrome OS, Linux, restrictive work computers). So we've built it from the ground up with that in mind. But as 1Password X has grown, both in terms of capability and popularity, more and more people want to use it in conjunction with our desktop apps as well, so we're working to make that possible.
I hope this helps. Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions! :)
