1Password 2 step Authentication
Hi. For added security I enabled 2 step Authentication on my 1password account. I am using google authenticator on my phone. If I loose my phone for any reason am I able to disable 2 factor authentication on my 1password account using one of the other trusted devices (mac application or iOS app), or transfer the authentication code to another phone. Thanks.

Hi @squash

Yes, as of 1Password 7.3.4 for iOS it is possible to disable 2FA for your account as long as you can access your authorized 1Password for iOS installation. From the release notes:
It is now possible to turn off Two-Factor Authentication for your 1Password Account from Settings > 1Password Accounts > account settings.
Right now I believe 1Password for iOS is the only app that has this capability, but it should be coming to the other native apps as well. One thing I might recommend though is printing a copy of the QR code for setting up 2FA and keeping that with your Emergency Kit. That would make any device transitions much easier. :+1:

@squash You could use Authy as an alternative authentication method, It allows you to back up your tokens to the cloud, so if you ever change device their is no issue unlike with Google Authenticator.
Just make sure you enable a couple of devices and then turn OFF the 'multi device' setting as the most secure way, or if you only have it on your phone, leave multi device enabled so that you can add a new device when you lose your phone.
