Will the Safari Extension for 1Password 6 be updated to work with Safari in Catalina?

The Safari extension for 1Password 6 is incompatible with the current Catalina builds.
The extension works fine in Chrome.

    Hi @sydlow!

    Catalina uses Safari version 13, and Safari 13 only supports Safari App Extensions like the one included in 1Password 7. Because of this change, 1Password 6 for Mac no longer works in Safari 13 or later. The last update to 1Password 6 for Mac was in May of 2018. It will only receive critical security updates in the future.

    To continue filling and saving in Safari, you’ll need to upgrade to 1Password 7 for Mac.

    If you don’t want to upgrade to 1Password 7 right now, you can still fill and save in other browsers, like Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or Vivaldi.
