Browser Extension Frequently Logs Out

in 1Password in the Browser

I find that I need to log into the browser extension each time I load Chrome; and sometimes mid-session. Is this for security purposes? Is it possible to extend the logged-in period?

    Hey Robert,
    1Password X has an idle timeout setting that you can change in the extension's settings:

    • Right click the 1Password X icon in your browser.
    • Select Settings.
    • Change the Idle Timeout setting to whatever you want.

    Since 1Password X lives inside Chrome, it has some limitations due to the nature of Chrome. If you close Chrome, 1Password X will lock since it is unable to know what happened since the last time Chrome was opened. Leaving it unlocked is a security risk.

    hi there,
    my chrome for mac extension has no 'Idle Timeout setting ' in settings, only, 'turn on or off auto lock'

    Hey @elurie! That's alright - 1Password 7 has autolock/lock after idle settings too! This article will help you find them. :)
