I forgot my master password. Can I save my data with the app open via thumbprint?

I cannot remember my master password, though I can still open the app on my iPad using iTouch. I found a faq from you that says I can rescue my data if I can get in that way, but do not understand how I can do that. Given that I will be able to recover my data, how do I get a new account where I can recover my vault and pick a new master password? I am keeping my iPad open until I can get this resolved, otherwise I will have lost that option.

@Clancey: Thanks for getting in touch! First and foremost, avoid making changes until we have a good plan. I'd encourage you to try the tips in this guide, as they may help you gain access again, if you're locked out on a device:

Alternatively, if you're part of a 1Password Family or Team, another Owner, Organizer, or Admin can help you recover your account, so you can create a new Secret Key and Master Password:

You can try as many times as you want. You won’t be “locked out”, but you will not be able to access your data unless you can enter the required Master Password correctly.

If, however, you are not able to remember your Master Password, we can help you setup a new account. If you have access to your data on a device still, it's easy to copy it over. In that case, I'd suggest emailing us at support@1password.com with the details so we can walk you through that. :)
