1PW 6... Mac, iOS, Dropbox sync... Mac puts vault in Dropbox/Apps/1P... iOS expects it in Dropbox/1P
How to resolve?
Mac puts the vault for syncing in Dropbox/Apps/1Password
iOS 1Password expect the vault to be where it used to be, in Dropbox/1Password
Doesn't seem to be any option to change the location in either Mac of iOS
Mac: 1PW version 6.8.9
iOS: 1PW version cannot see how to tell what version.
p.s. Trouble shooting for another user; not related to my postings here of a year ago.
1Password Version: 6.8.9
Extension Version: Not Provided
OS Version: iOS 12.4.1
Sync Type: Dropbox

Hi @SallyShears
You can check the version of the iOS app in 1Password > Settings at the bottom of the screen. Please let us know which version of 1Password for iOS this customer is using. :)
Thanks!
Ben

OK, will check version. Meanwhile, any suggestions for getting iOS app and Mac app to point to same location in Dropbox?

1Password version 7.3.6

@SallyShears: Sure! Just follow the steps in this guide to make sure you have everything configured properly:
If you’re having trouble syncing with Dropbox
The key is that you setup each device to use the same vault being sync'd through Dropbox, so they all have the same data going forward. :)
However, I'd recommend considering a 1Password membership, since there's no sync configuration required: you simply sign into your account on each device to access your data.

Thanks @brenty but I've been to the page, always Google first, before asking here. Cannot find the spot in either iOS or on Mac app to specify which folder in Dropbox. iOS insists on using one location Dropbox/1Password while Mac app insists on using Dropbox/Apps/1Password.
I've looked and cannot find how to change that location in either context. How to change that location in EITHER iOS app or Mac app?

For example, in Mac App, Preferences, Sync, Dropbox... No option to change the folder location.

The 1Password for iOS app should be able to find the data in that location. I'd recommend starting fresh. Where is this person's 1Password data now? On the Mac? If so, uninstall 1Password for iOS, reinstall it, and then from the welcome screen scroll down and select the option to sync with Dropbox. It should find that keychain so long as both devices are logged into the same Dropbox account and they haven't hit their Dropbox device limit:

Thanks, Ben, we can try that.
Data is on both, but with Sync'ing stopped, probably newer data is on the Mac, but will have to review whetehr any PWs changed on the iOS device.

Is it OK that she is using 1PW 6 on the iOS device and iPW 7 on the Mac??

Yes; though of course we'd recommend keeping up to date with the latest versions of all software, particularly OSes, browsers, and 1Password.

Thanks for help. Interesting result. On iPhone, opened app, Settings, Sync, Dropbox, and the app showed us both vaults and asked which one we wanted to sync with.
Did not have to remove the app. And didn't have to check for pw's updated on the phone but not on the mac. All is well. Joy in Mudville!

Ah, great! Indeed, while starting fresh on a secondary device can be helpful to reorganize things, it sounds like you have a handle on it without doing that. You may be all set now, but we're here if you need us. :)
