Getting started on iPad

I installed 1P 7.4.1 on my iPad 6 running iOS 12.4.1. It may sound silly, but I'm at a loss as to where to begin (I'm not a big Apple user). Anyway, I opened the app and entered my creds. 1P opened, and I see my account name and the Private vault. Tapping the right arrow next to Private displays Items and their correct number, but my items are not listed. Must I run some kind of sync to bring them over, or am I proceeding incorrectly? Must I select the option to Enable Standalone Vaults? Thanks.

    I think that I've figured this out, so perhaps save the 1P staff & fellow posters some time. I probably misunderstood what I thought I should see in the Settings pane. What I apparently needed to do is tap the Categories option at the bottom of the screen. Lo and behold, that's where I found my stuff! :)
