Rendering issues in iPadOS vs iOS 12.X
Hello, I've noticed some rendering issues in 1Password since updating my iPad to iPadOS.
For example, on discogs.com font rendering is no longer as expected. Also, some elements are no longer rendering in-line, as they did on iOS 12.X.
The first set of screen shots show this site rendering correctly (aka consistent with Safari on Mac) in iOS 12.4.1 on an iPhone (landscape mode). The second shots show identical or comparable pages on an iPad with iPadOS 13.1.2 (note dark mode). Compare the circled bits.

Hi @neversaid
Thank you for taking the time to write in about these issues. Unfortunately we don't have any control over what you're seeing there. It looks like you're using 1Browser, the web browser built-into 1Password for iOS. 1Browser uses Apple's
WKWebView
framework, which is effectively Safari without the UI elements. Basically all we're doing here is showing Safari wrapped in the 1Password UI. That said, sometimes Apple doesn't keepWKWebView
as up to date as they do Safari. You want want to see how these pages render in actual Safari. We generally don't encourage the usage of 1Browser anymore. It was designed at a time where it was the only real solution. Share sheet extensions didn't exist yet, and neither did Password AutoFill. Quite a lot has changed since it was developed. I'd highly recommend checking out Password AutoFill, which is now the de facto path for using 1Password on iOS:
Use 1Password to fill and save on your iPhone and iPad
With Password AutoFill you get the best of both worlds. You get actual Safari, as well as the ability to fill your 1Password credentials within it. I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

Hi Ben, thanks for the tip -- I've been using both the Mac and iOS versions of 1Password for a loooong time. Old dog, new tricks and all that.
I'm now seeing the same rendering issues on Safari in iPadOS, so this must be an iOS issue.

Ah, good point. Indeed, rather than iOS specifically, that's just how Safari is rendering the page. Safari is the only browser engine allowed on iOS, so 1Password is just using a Safari webview for its built-in browser, just like Chrome, Firefox, etc. are just wrappers around Safari with custom UI to support their own functionality. To me, it looks like that site may just be expecting a larger screen, so some elements are compressed. Almost no one uses computers with screens that small (relatively speaking), so it's not surprising to me that their "desktop" site (which iPadOS will request) is a bit off when viewing on an iPad. Perhaps they'll update it to better accommodate iPads and other devices of a similar screen size. :)
