Auto fill in under firefox for mac
I have used 1pw6 and now downloaded 1pw7, now the auto fill in won't work any more. What can I do?
How do I migrate my old vault into my new 1pw business account that i have created? the support description tells me that it will ask me upon creation, but it doesn't. How can I do?

You can move your data manually to an account by adding your 1Password account to the app and then moving your data :)

That really doesn't help. I have followed exactly the descriptions given here, but that lead me to the problems I ran into. Pretty funny to suggest the same link as the solution that caused the problem in the first place. After doing so I lost all the functionality that I had using 1pw6. Now I can fill in my passwords any longer, neither am I able to migrate them to the cloud. Seems to me that I've been trapped.

I am sorry for the trouble. Because your original message asked how to migrate your data, I thought that this was what you were trying to do. I now understand that the issue is a different one from the one you originally reported: it's that you cannot fill your items anymore after the migration, correct?
In that case, have you purchased a license for 1Password 7 or activated a Membership? 1Password 7 is a paid upgrade, so if you were able to migrate your items to 1Password 7, but the browser extension is not filling your data anymore, please make sure that you have either a license or a subscription in order to unlock the functionality.

I have created a 1password account and installed the 1pw7 client on my mac. When I want to access my account I am asked for a secret key, that I don't have. I have saved an emergency kit, but I did not step over a secret key that I need to re-enter my account.

OK - I tried and found the secret key, so everything went fine so far. My old 1pw6-vault is now available in the 1pw account. Now the autofill-funktion is also available in my firefox-plugin. Thank you so far.
I have also downloaded the ios app and scanned the setup code. The app prompted me to enter my Main Password and then the iphone asked me to save the password. This saving my password is handled in the icloud, isn't it? This is not what I wanted. I chose 1password because I don't want all my pws in an icloud.
On the other hand: I can't enter my main password each time I want to buy a bus ticket with my iphone. I chose a 20digit Master password, so I can't use it day-to-day on a handheld device. How does 1password cooperate with the iphone's fingerprint detector?

@rainerfeldbruegge: Indeed, the Secret Key is included in your Emergency Kit, so you should be all set with that. :)

That sounds like you have iCloud Keychain enabled, so it will ask you to save passwords. You can disable it in iOS Settings to avoid confusion with 1Password.
I chose 1password because I don't want all my pws in an icloud.
But, to clarify, with a 1Password membership, your encrypted data is stored on our server. That's why you need your Master Password and Secret Key. No one can decrypt your data to access it without those, including us. If you lose those, then you will not be able to access your data either. So be sure to have your account credentials in a safe place just in case.

I wouldn't want to do that either! You just need to have Touch ID enabled in iOS Settings, and then you can also enable it in 1Password Settings > Security. You will need to enter your Master Password when opening 1Password the first time after updates, restarting, etc. But after that, most of the time you will be able to use Touch ID instead. :)
