Hi-

I'm trying to set up .gov 2 factor auth and am having trouble. How can I scan their QR code or enter the key in the app?

    Hi @SashaKanno

Thanks for taking the time to write in, and welcome to the 1Password Support Forum. :) We have a guide on setting up 1Password to act as an authenticator app for sites that support the TOTP standard of 2-factor authentication available here:

Use 1Password as an authenticator for sites with two-factor authentication

If you're already at the point where the website is presenting you with the QR code to scan then the steps would be:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password, select the Login item for the website, then click Edit.
    2. Click the item type menu to the right of a new field and choose One-Time Password.
    3. Click the QR code icon to open the QR code scanner window.
    4. Drag the window over the QR code from the website.
    5. Click Save.

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

    Ben
