1PW Problem when setting up and transferring to IPAD Gen7 OS 13.1.2 from iPadGen3 IOS 9.3.9.

I transferred all thedata from my iPad Gen3 to iPad gen 7 with bluetooth? as suggested by apple when setting up. The 1PW now freezes on unlocked after entering the 1PW6 password and would not work at all with the 1PW7 password. I did see the old primary vault and the new personal vault before the freeze.
I have rebooted the iPad but it makes no difference.

  • Hi @BunnyW

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble. Could you please confirm that you are able to log in at https://my.1password.com/ and when you do that you're able to see all of your 1Password data?

If that is the case, please uninstall and reinstall the 1Password for iOS app. I would recommend having a copy of your Emergency Kit handy when performing this procedure:

Get to know your Emergency Kit | 1Password

Please let me know how it turns out.

    Thank you for reply Ben.
I did as you advised 3 or 4 times but still many password entries were missing. I then considered there was something else causing the issue and found the apple keychain was active, I deleted it and then all passwords were available but not working as expected!
When I open a website in Safari that I know has a username and password, I click username box and my email appears below (from 1P)
I click that and the master password box and popup keyboard appear requiring full master password entry.
I have the fingerprint recognition active.
    Where am I going wrong?

Could you please launch the main 1Password app and confirm that under Settings > Security the Touch ID option is enabled?

The 1Password in the dock does nothing!

My apologies but I'm having trouble understanding your last reply. What exactly happens if you tap on the 1Password icon on your home screen? Could you provide a screenshot?

The first is of raw screen
No 2 is when I touch the 1P in the dock
No 3 is after opening a site that I know has all info in 1P
The last is after I click the web address

    Hi Ben,
Thank you for all your assistance.
I believe I have found out what the problem was.
I have not yet bought a cover for the iPad 7 so the tablet was just shutting down instead of being switched off.
When I switched off and then back on the 1P in the dock then activated instead of being dormant.
