1Password chrome extension does not work on Rails applications with Turbolinks
Ruby On Rails applications use often a framework called Turbolinks.
What this framework basically does is to replace the body of the page when navigating on a new page, rather than performing a complete request. When this happens, 1Password autocompletion does not work, while other tools work perfectly fine and chrome default password autofill works fine.
We think 1Password should handle such cases.
You can test it yourself in one of the following:
How to reproduce:
- click on "Anmelden" or "Sign In" in the upper right corner.
- 1Password autofill does not appear when it should
- Refresh the login page. Now 1Password autofill appears correctly.

Hi @coorasse – welcome to the forum! I've actually got some good news for you. While I was able to reproduce the same issue you reported in the stable version of 1Password X, our developers are currently rewriting our filling algorithm. The new-and-improved version is still being tested internally, but the inline menu appears (without refreshing) on both of the websites you mentioned. Once it's ready to be released, you should be able to fill on sites like these ones without refreshing. So stay tuned!
