Auto-trigger 1PX when Chrome opens?

I'm running 1PX in Chrome on Win 10. Is there a way to auto-trigger the 1PX extension automatically when Chrome loads, so that iPX opens to the logon window? I wouldn't consider this essential, as it saves only a click, but it may be a tad handy nonetheless. As 1PX is so useful, I rarely use the 1P app. Thanks!

That's not something that's possible for browser extensions to do, no. Otherwise any extension you install could interact with the browsers UI. That's actually related to why we have you open 1Password X from the browser toolbar to unlock in the first place (you'll be prompted if you try to access 1Password X from within the webpage if it's locked): malicious webpages or extensions can get up to a lot of mischief within the webpage (to try to trick you into giving them your Master Password), but they cannot access the browser's UI; only you can.

Makes sense. I noted some analogous answers on Stackoverflow. User action is required. Thanks!

@jimmyweg: You're very welcome! They probably explained it better on StackOverflow, but I gave it my best shot. :+1:

This may or may not be relevant to you, but I want to mention it in case it helps you or anyone else: on macOS and Windows, using the 1Password desktop app/extension can allow for more flexibility, since that works outside of the browser as well:

The companion desktop extension can be downloaded here:

    Cheers! :)
