Left key on previous jobs server / decoding a backed up .enc_item

Hi! I left a private key on the work server from my previous job and have a few questions!

1) My account was deleted and from what I've read that means my previous employer cannot restore my account along with the passwords. Is that true?
2) In the 1password backups on my machine I've located some .enc_item files that I'd like to decode in case they contain the lost key. I can't find any instructions on how to decode them. Is there any way to do this if I still have the secret key from the old account?

Any other ways I could recover this key? Thank you!!
