what is the difference between the private, shared, and personal vault?

I"m just trying to understand what the difference between the vaults are - particularly the private and shared vaults which are both Family vaults.

Hey @allegra,
The main difference is that nobody has access to your private vault; it's yours and yours only, while the shared vault can be used among several family members, for things like Netflix password, Wifi password or other things you wish to share.

The main benefit of that membership is that you have it all under one subscription

@Yulka1355 has the gist of it. If you have a 1Password membership then none of your devices should have a "Primary" vault on them anymore. If they do please delete that. Verify that you can sign in at https://my.1password.com and see all of your data, make sure you have an Emergency Kit printed, and then delete the Primary vault:
