getting a purple debugging window regular release

I tried to invoke 1Password (1Password 7, Version 7.4 (70400012)) from the menu bar. It said I needed to activate the extension in Safari. It is already activated so I asked for help. One solution was to uninstall 1Password and reinstall. I did that and the problem went away. That was yesterday. Today, I got the same problem, and this time, when tried to uninstall, I got a purple window that said this purple window was a debugging window, and I needed to click on something or insert or modify some (I think) C++ code that they gave. I cannot get rid of the purple window when using 1Password, and the debugging comments are no so faint, they cannot be read (assuming they are the same as before and I was qualified to know what I was doing). From other comments, I get the impression that the purple window should only occur in a Beta version of the code. I thought I was running the normal product. Either there is a bug here or I don't have the latest production version. Whatever, can you please get 1Password working normally? Thanks.

@Eberle - I'm sorry for the trouble! You're correct, the purple debug window should indeed be visible in a beta version of 1Password for Mac. Can you please click 1Password > About and click the Copy to Clipboard button you'll see in the About window, and paste the results here? That will give us the exact version of 1Password you're running. Thanks.

@Eberle - if you're using version 7.4 from the Mac App Store, please try updating from the Mac App Store to version 7.4.1 and let us know if that affects the issue. Thanks. :)

I have 7.4.1, and the problem appears to have disappeared. If it is still gone tomorrow, I would say that the installed solved the problem.

    Thanks for the help.

I spoke too soon. The drop down menus on the menu bar and Safari did not work. I had to do a complete stop of 1Password, move the 1Password application to trash, and reinstall again. The drop-down menus seem to be working now. So, all is well, but I thought I ought let you know.

Thank you for the update! :+1: I am glad to hear that reinstalling helped fix the issue.
