Master Password Error. Bug?
Hi, I'm using 1Password 7 on an iMac with Mac OS 10.15.1 installed. Lately I've been encountering a strange bug when I try to unlock my 1Password vault. Even though I'm typing the right master password, it will say that my password is incorrect. The problem goes away when I restart the computer.
I've also noticed that when I use autofill feature on either Safari or Chrome, 1Password filter would just go show all items without filling in the form. After that I would have to right click on the form, choose 1Password and then try to autofill again. This has been happening for quite some time now.
Is there a fix to these 2 problems? Thanks
1Password Version: 7.4.1
Extension Version: 4.7.5.90
OS Version: 10.15.1
Sync Type: 1Password Account

Hi @fujitasenpai! Welcome to the forum!
Even though I'm typing the right master password, it will say that my password is incorrect. The problem goes away when I restart the computer.
I am not able to reproduce this here, but is this happening regularly? Have you found a way to consistently reproduce this perhaps?

When you use the autofill feature, can you please make sure that the dropdown menu there is set to Suggestions?
From what you are writing, I think you might have it configured to "All Items" at the moment.

hi @ag_ana thanks for your feedback.
Unfortunately I have not been able to reproduce this problem consistently. It just happen time to time, but seems like the best way to get rid of it is to restart the mac or to kill the process and relaunch 1Password. Not a big deal, just very strange to encounter this. I have to add that this is only happening on the iMac and not on my Macbook Pro.
Regarding the autofill feature, yes I am on Suggestions. But like I said, when I click on autofill, the list goes back to All Items without actually filling anything. I have to then copy/paste the password to fill it in manually or go to the form do a right click and choose autofill again. Usually the 2nd or 3rd attempt would work.

@fujitasenpai: Do you perhaps have multiple copies of 1Password on your Mac? I'm not able to reproduce what you describe without doing that and launching the wrong one, with a different dataset and therefore different Master Password required.

@brenty definitely not the case. This is a clean installation of the OS, and I downloaded my copy of 1Password directly from the Apple App Store.
I encountered it again yesterday after waking up the iMac from sleep but with VPN turned on. I’m suspecting it might be the VPN that is causing this error. I’ll do some more test with it and see if I can reproduce it again.

That would be great! If you can tell us the steps to reproduce it that may help us figure out what's going wrong there.
