After update to 7.4.1 Safari extension stopped to work
Hello support team!
After updated on my both local machines (MacBook Pro and iMac) to 7.4.1 Safari (13.0.3) extension stopped to work (worked before this update).
What do I mean when saying "stopped to work":
- when I click on icon in Safari toolbar - no interface is shown
- when I hit "Cmd + \" while on page with input form, 1Password mini interface appear (attached to this post) and say, that extension should be enabled:
Safari shows, that extension enabled:
Already tried to reboot every component: 1password (complete quit), system reboot, Safari reboot.
Best regards,
Serhii Mamontov

I'm having this exact same problem after upgrading to 1Password 7.4.1 on macOS Catalina.
I just ran into the problem on my home machine which is macOS Mojave 10.14.6
Safari Preferences shows the 1Password extension is installed. The extension button appears in the Safari bar. But it has no functionality - doesn't respond to clicks and doesn't autofill on any page. Safari is 13.0.3. I'm using Firefox with the 1PasswordX until functionality is restored in Safari.0 -
Hi @parfeon and @PilgrimSoul!
Can you please try quitting 1Password completely (right-click on 1Password mini in the menu bar > Quit 1Password completely), quit your Safari browser, and launch both 1Password and Safari again? Do you see the same behavior afterwards?

@ag_ana thanks for response!
It is quite strange, because I've done complete quit of 1Password (usually done it from not mini app, but full app from Help menu found this option and quit), restarted Safari (thought I used force quit for Safari all the time) and my computer few times and nothing helped.
At this time made complete quit using 1Password mini, quite Safari in normal way, followed by Safari launch and 1Password launch before trying to use... now it works.Wondering, what exactly made the "trick":
- used 1Password mini to make quit completely (not main application)
- proper Safari quit (not force quit)
- order in which applications has been unloaded / loaded
@PilgrimSoul does this work for you? If so, maybe it should be put somewhere on website as known issues during update?
Best regards,

Thank you for the update! I am glad to hear that my suggestion helped :)
Wondering, what exactly made the "trick":
used 1Password mini to make quit completely (not main application)I think this is the reason. If you quit 1Password from the main desktop app, you are doing just that: quitting the desktop app. If you quit 1Password this way, and you look at your macOS menu bar, you should still see 1Password mini running there. Only quitting 1Password completely from there quits everything related to 1Password, both the desktop app and 1Password mini.
When something like this happens, quitting 1Password completely normally helps bring things back to a fresh state, but only if we make sure to quit everything :)

I closed everything, logged out, and when I logged back in 1Password extension was working normally again.
