My Firefox plugin is grayed out having been working fine - uninstall and reinstall doesn't work.

I've been using 1password for around a year and just recently (a week or so ago) the firefox plugin stopped working (it is grayed out but 'flashes' dark every few seconds. Clicking on it does nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled to no effect. Restarting the computer seemed to fix it temporarily but then it reverts to disabled mode. I've now installed the plugin in Chrome and that works fine.

Hi @kimdw! Welcome to the forum!

Can you please let us know what version of Firefox this is happening with?

If something is hung up with Native Messaging on your machine preventing processes from being quit and restarted that can cause problems 1Password from updating or connecting to the browser afterward. Inherently, that's not a problem 1Password can solve for you. But Quitting 1Password Completely -- Command Control Option Q -- and the browser before restarting both should help. Otherwise, if something is preventing even you from doing that manually, rebooting will almost certainly do the trick.

    Hi @ag_ana - I'm using Firefox Version 70.0.1 (64-bit)
@brenty I'll try the quitting thing and report back

Quitting 1Password Completely -- Command Control Option Q -- and the browser before restarting both did seem to sort it! At least for now...
    Thanks :-)
