File save issues

When a file is dropped in 1password, a copy of the file is created in "DropCache" in the local folder. Is this a problem from a security perspective?

Where can I find detailed information about saving and retrieving files?

    Hi @aab! Welcome to the forum!

    Can you please share with us the steps that you are following to make this happen, so we can reproduce it here?

    Also, if you could also confirm what operating system you are using, and what 1Password version you have installed, it would be very helpful. Thank you!

    macOS Catalina Version 10.15.1
    1password7 Version 7.4.1

    1. 1password Open desktop app
    2. Drop local files into the app
    3. Select Show in Finder
    4. Files are copied to the "DropCache" folder on the same level
    5. Selecting "Delete local copy" from the app does not delete the files in "DropCache"

    @aab -- can you try locking 1Password instead, and seeing if that does what you're looking for? Let me know what you discover. :)

    When locked, the upper level folder disappears. Does this mean that the file was deleted from local storage?

    Is it only possible to retrieve files saved in 1password one by one?
    What type of file can be saved in 1password?

    @aab:

    Thank you for the confirmation. Yes, you can only download files locally one by one. And you can save any type of file inside 1Password :)
