Firefox 70.0.1 1Password (v7.4.1) extension window gradually gets ever wider until I reboot computer
I'm using a Mac running 10.14.6 at the moment with Firefox 70.0.1 and 1Password 7.4.1. When in the browser and selecting the 1Password icon on the browsers toolbar the window that opens to select the password gradually gets wider and wider. After a day or two without rebooting the system (I usually leave it running and don't need to reboot very often typically.) the 1Password window gets so wide the buttons (like 'autofill') are actually off the right side of the screen. If I reboot my computer it temporarily fixes the window back to its usual size. Shutting down the browser alone and restarting that doesn't seem to have any effect. Any thoughts on fixing this bug? It is a bit annoying. Love 1Password though. Thanks!

@Pendimar - I don't think I've ever heard of any similar thing; would you be able to post a screenshot or two? On a Mac, as you're probably aware, if you click the top bar of a window, it will become full screen (that's a macOS feature), but you're saying this is something that happens gradually? Do you notice it in any other applications or windows? Or is it only 1Password mini/extension?

Hi Lars, thanks for addressing this. I've only noticed it on the browser extension. And yes, it just gradually gets wider. I'm not sure if its every time I open Firefox and subsequently the extension (of course) or if its every other time. But over the course of a few days the extensions window gets wider and wider. I've never had this issue before. I will attempt to get some screen captures. It may take me a few days to show you images that demonstrate the issue so give me some time. It's wide enough today that I'm probably due for a reboot anyway, so let me reboot and grab an image and then grab more over the course of the next few days. Many thanks for your attention to this matter.

The same thing happens on my Mac.

No. I'm not leaving it open. Since starting this thread, the last two times I've rebooted my system the 1Password extension window doesn't seem to be resetting to its smaller size. I don't know if it has to get to a certain size before it will go back or not? I was hoping to get it back to original size before beginning my series of screen captures.

Ok here is the first screen capture... I'll keep trying to add them. If it doesn't reset to its original size at some point here it may be hard to see the difference. The 'Autofill' button is already off the screen at this point. On sites where I only have one sign in if doesn't make too much difference. But on sites where you have multiple possible sign ins its starts to be an issue if you can't readily see and choose the various options.

Here is a second one where I've already entered my password. It may indicate better the width expansion over the course of successive captures.

Also, I have tried dragging the width of the window to a narrower point and while I do see the arrow that points both left and right that the cursor turns into it won't let me make the window smaller.

I tried that and I'm afraid it didn't work. I then tried the quit completely and then I rebooted my system as well, just to see if that did anything but I'm afraid not.

Also I'll attach another screen capture here. If you refer to the first capture I posted above and compare it to this new one you can see that the central keyhole is further to the right than in the original capture. So it appears that the expansion is continuing to the right of the screen. If this keeps up I may not be able to use the extension much longer. Should I try uninstalling 1Password completely and reinstalling?

@Pendimar - sorry for the delay in our response here. I confess, this is a new one on us -- or at least on me. As a result, I'd like to take a closer look at what might be going on with your setup, and to do that, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:
How to send a diagnostics report from your Mac
Please add the following code (including the square brackets) to the Subject line of your diagnostics email before sending it:
[#KAF-71794-389]
This will link your diagnostics to our current discussion. I'll take a look and let you know what I find out.
For anyone else reading, please note: this ID is for @Pendimar only. If you’re experiencing the same issue and need help, please ask us for your own ID.

Hi Lars, I'm sorry it's taken me a few days to get back to this. I did just send a copy of my diagnostic report to the support email given on your website with the appropriate code mentioned above in the subject line. Please let me know if for some reason you don't get that email.
As you can see the Key hole is gradually continuing to migrate to the right of the screen. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I look forward to getting this fixed and I appreciate your help to that end. Cheers!
