I just upgraded to a iPassword paid account but my Mac app still only responds to my old password.
When I upgraded to the paid account I was required to improve my 1Password password, which I did. I have no problem accessing my account via iPhone and iPad (fingerprint recognition). I can also access the account via Safari using 1Password.com. However, when I open the 1Password application on my Mac it does not recognise the new password and will only open using the previous password. No doubt this only gives me access to the previous version of my account. I was nervous about deleting the app but wonder if I should do that and then download a new one.
1Password Version: 7.4.1
Extension Version: ?
OS Version: OSX 10.15.1
Sync Type: iCloud

Hi @AlanTGraham
On macOS your 1Password data is stored separately from the app, so uninstalling & reinstalling wouldn't be a solution here. Are you able to log in at https://my.1password.com/ in a web browser on a computer? If so, please print a copy of your Emergency Kit, if you haven't already:
Get to know your Emergency Kit
Then look in the Personal vault at my.1password.com. Does that contain all of your information? If it does then use the Help > Troubleshooting > Reset All 1Password data menu from within 1Password 7 for Mac and use the Emergency Kit to sign in. You should only have a Personal vault after doing so (and not a "Primary" vault).
Please let me know how it turns out.
Ben

Well done Ben and many thanks for your help. Everything worked exactly as you set out and my desktop version of 1Password now opens with the new password. I've also taken action with the Emergency Kit so I'm back in control!
