Hi,

Is there a way I can have both 1P.com Vault and also a local vault in the app?
I see that I can do that on my iPhone, but I'm not able to do that on my Mac.
Am I missing something or is it just not possible on the Mac app? Currently I'm connected to my 1P.com vault, but can't find a way to add a local vault... please help!

Hi @amiturgman! Welcome to the forum!

Yes, you can do this in 1Password for Mac too. Please open 1Password and go to Preferences > Advanced tab, and enable the option named Allow creation of vaults outside of 1Password accounts :)

Thanks @ag_ana ! So I'm now able to create one, but I can't find a way to add an already existing vault... Why can't I just point to a 1p file?

    Am I missing something?

@amiturgman - I'm not sure what you mean by "a 1P file," but when you click Allow creation of vaults outside 1Password accounts, you'll get a vault called "Primary," because this is always the default vault in a standalone setup. Since you just created it, it should be empty. If you have data in a previous 1Password vault that was synced either via Folder Sync or Dropbox or iCloud and you'd like to sync that data with the current empty Primary vault, just click 1Password > Preferences > Sync and choose your method to sync (which, since Primary is empty, will essentially function like an import).

If you meant something else by "a 1P file," can you elaborate? Thanks.
