Safari opens a second copy of itself when trying to use 1Password

I open Safari, and come to a site that requires a password. I go to the 1Password extension in the browser, and a second copy of Safari opens (Safari (copy)). VERY annoying behavior, throwing up a window every time I try to use 1Password. I don't see a way to reinstall the extension, but may need an older version (I'm using Safari 12.1.2 since it allows me to use the very useful JS Blocker extension).

Please assist.

    Hi @sepstein,

    Could you please check if you have multiple copies of Safari installed on your system?
