Creating new item should auto-suggest your email address as username
Hi 1password,
When creating new items, I think it'd be a huge improvement in usability if we could autocomplete / auto-suggest the username field.
The normal flow for me is:
- Visit a website
- Click "fill" in 1password, realize I don't have an existing login created yet in 1password
- Create a new login
- Manually type my email address or usually a standard permutation of my name as a username (99% of the time, the username field is either firstname.lastname@gmail.com, firstnamelastname, or firstnamelastname1 depending on the website's requirements)
- Autogen a password
- Save & Fill
I think step 4 above has high potential to reduce the amount of clicking/typing necessary – we could add a few auto-suggested usernames (either sourced from the last few recently created logins, or allow users to define suggestions manually) on this screen to avoid manually typing your email / common username each time:
This is most painful on mobile as it's slower to type (and you're more likely to be in a rush on your phone) but I think it could work on both mobile & desktop.
Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. We agree - this is something we had in 1Password for iOS at one point and it appears that a bug somewhere (perhaps not in 1Password) is currently preventing it from working. Hopefully that can be fixed up relatively soon and this will start working as expected again. :+1:

Any updates on this? This is my only pain point using 1Password.
Thanks,
