I have two vaults. One on iCloud and the other on my Mac. How to join them and just keep one.

  • Hi @lemasai

The Help > Tools > Migrate Standalone Vault to Account menu option within 1Password for Mac should sort this out for you. :) Please let me know how it turns out.

Thanks Ben for the fast reply. For some reason, I am unable to select the option Migrate Standalone Vault.

My apologies; I misread your screenshot and assumed your were using a 1Password.com membership account. Looking again, it appears that is not the case. Instead, I would suggest moving any items you have in the Lincho vault to the Principal vault:

    Move and copy items

Once complete you should be able to delete the Lincho vault:

    1. From the menu bar, choose Vault > Switch to Vault > Lincho.
    2. Choose Vault > Delete Vault.

I also have two vaults, one is called Primary, and is on iCloud, the other is called Personal, and I assume is associated with my subscription to 1 Password 7. (I had a standalone plan on 1Password 4, 5 and 6, previously). I may have made a mistake in migrating my passwords when I signed up for the subscription which has caused this duplication. Currently both the Personal and Primary are identical. Can I delete one of them, and if so, which one should I delete and which one should I keep? I'd rather not have to keep track of two identical vaults.

  • Hi @Wilma

The Primary vault should be deleted. Instructions are available here:

Please be sure that you are able to sign into https://my.1password.com/ before deleting it, as you'll need to use the same Master Password that you use there to unlock 1Password going forward.

Thank you, Ben. My account is now much tidier!
