Using external device instead of a password

Hi,

I was wondering if there is any plan to add a feature that allows users of MacBooks without Touch ID to use the external devices for identification instead of having to enter a password too often.

Thanks,
Felice

@fmanga - not currently, no. Apple themselves do not allow external biometry readers/scanners, only what comes built-in on certain (but you're correct, not all) Mac computers.

You can adjust how often you have to enter your Master Password in 1Password for Mac by clicking 1Password > Preferences > Security. You will always have to use your Master Password after closing 1Password completely or restarting your Mac, but you have fairly wide latitude to adjust the settings to your liking and security situation, in that Security preferences panel.

Thank you for the detailed answer. I will look into the security preferences.
