Reset/wipe new account using same email address
Hi - I opened an account but never really got started putting passwords in to it. Then forgot my master password. Want to delete all and try again. Directions below are for resetting on IOS, but I keep getting stuck
I successfully do all of these steps:
- Delete the 1Password app.
- Restart your device.
- Download 1Password on the App Store and open the app.
But I'm not clear on where to do this step:
- To delete data from iCloud -- Open 1Password and create a new vault during setup as if this is your first time using the app.
- Tap Settings > Advanced > Erase iCloud Data. Then you can sync with iCloud again without any of your old data.
Specifically, I want to create the new vault using the same email address I used before, but when I type that email address it tells me I already have an account and only option is to start over by logging in with my forgotten Master Password.
Also, the settings/advanced/erase icloud data step -- is that in IOS settings, or somewhere within the 1password app?

The instructions you posted are applicable to folks who are using 1Password without an account, and are syncing their standalone data through iCloud. That wouldn't be applicable to your situation if you have an account. Instead please see these instructions:
