Change password = reused password warning

Every time I change a password by clicking the "generate password" button for an entry, it creates a "password" item in 1p in addition to actually changing the password for the site's card in 1p.

Then I get a Reused Password warning in Watchtower.... Seems like this shouldn't be happening, no?

Here are my steps:

  1. Log in to some site, go to the password settings for that site
  2. Click change password
  3. Click 1p browser menu (which opens that site's info)
  4. Click "+ Generate Password"
  5. Click Save & Fill.
  6. Click save/accept/confirm - whatever the website offers to save the change
  7. 1p Asks if I want to save a new item or update existing - I select upate existing

Then I think everything is ok... but the next time I open the desktop app, I see a warning next to "Reused Passwords" and there is the entry for the site I changed and a "password" item.

Why?

    Hi @steve28!

Right after step 7, but before quitting 1Password and reopening it, do you see a Password item in the Password category already?
