brave extension not working with 6.8.9

I am running
1Password
Version 6.8.9 (689000)
Mac App Store1Password

The extension works for Chrome but when I try to add it to Brave it won't bring up the extension and fill in a logon form. i do have the 1Password app running on the mac.

I have another 1Password account and use updated version of the app but for this mac I prefer to keep the vault and the app local to the machine. Is it possible to get the extension running in Brave or do I need to just keep using Chrome?

Hey @tortoise2598 ,
1Password 6 does not support Brave in any version. Only 1Password 7 does.

However, you said you prefer to keep 1Password 6 on that computer because you'd like to keep your vaults local - you can do that with 1Password 7 as well. If you install 1Password 7 on that computer it will import the local vault from 1Password 6 into it and will keep it as a local vault unless you manually instruct it to migrate that vault into your 1Password.com account. :)

Yes, you can use 1Password with Brave if you are using version 7 :)
