save passwords not working

The instructions for saving passwords aren't working for me. I have read the help titled "1Password can save your usernames and passwords when you sign in to websites, so you don’t have to remember them". It says: "To save an account in 1Password, sign in to your account on the website. 1Password will ask you to save your username and password. Click Save Login."

Here's what I did:
1Password mini is running and the extension is installed.
I signed into my CitiBank account with my user name and password
1Password DID NOT ASK me to save my username and password.

How do I get 1Password to ASK ME to save my username and password?
