From the companion app extension to Password X?
This past week I began using 1P for the first time. I dloaded 1P for Windows and installed the companion app extension for Chrome.
And then I looked a bit more closely at 1Password X and its description ie "1Password X is the best way to experience 1Password in your browser."
Is it a usual path for users go from the "companion app extension" to replace it with Password X? If so what is involved in going to 1P X from the companion app extension?

Welcome to the forum.
You can move either way, and that's achieved by -
disable original (optionally remove it) > download the other version, and enable it.
If you elect to keep both on your machine, you will likely experience issues with them enabled at the same time. Therefore be sure only to have one version enabled at any given time.
