"No response code from server" when trying to set up 1Password 6.8.9

I'm trying to set up 1Password on my Macbook Pro using Firefox. After manually entering my account details, I can't get past the "No response code from server" error message. How do I activate my account? Any help would be much appreciated.

1Password Version: 6.8.9
Extension Version: 4.7.5.90
OS Version: 10.11.6
Sync Type: iCloud

    Hi @Mark_T_! Welcome to the forum!

    Are you entering the correct sign in address, exactly as it appears in your Emergency Kit?

    For example, the sign in address is https://my.1password.com for Individual and Families accounts. Are you entering it exactly this way, including the "https://" part?
