how do I update to v7.4 with subscription account? I have 7.3.2

laptop (mac OS X catalina) doesn't sync with iMac and iPhone. iMac has ver 7.4.1; laptop 7.3.2. Both say you have latest version when I look for updates. Seems I need to get laptop to ver 7.4. I have subscription.

You can directly install it from our downloads page, https://1password.com/downloads. We're not currently offering it via the in-app update mechanism to users on Catalina due to an issue we found in testing that we've fixed since then that prevents the running version from being quit correctly during the update (on Catalina). Once on 7.4.1 you will be able to update correctly using the in-app updater.
