    If you had purchased a standalone license prior to 1Password 7 then that would be why it says "read only" in the upper right corner. 1Password 7 is not a free update from prior versions of 1Password. You would need to either sign up for a 1Password.com membership (recommended) or purchase a standalone license for 1Password 7 in order to continue using 1Password 7 on your Mac.
