Moving vault from 1Password3 to 1Password7

I was running 1Password 3.8.22. I've upgraded MacOS to Catalina and it doesn't work anymore. So I downloaded 1Password7 but I can't load either the existing vault or a backup. The old vault is in a file 1Password.agilekeychain which cannot be selected from V.7; same for the backup which is a file 1Password ...date and numbers... .agilekeychain_zip
