Accidentally Declined Screen Recording Permission for OTP Setup
I recently got a new computer and when I went to setup a new OTP for the first time on this machine I accidentally clicked Deny on the permissions for Screen Recording.
However when I go in to the Screen Recording permissions it doesn't even show up as an unchecked option.
Is there a way to re-request the permissions?

If you're using 1Password from the Mac App Store it won't be possible to use the on-screen scanner. Instead you'd need to download 1Password directly from us to have that functionality. After you install the download from us you should see the prompt when trying to use the scanner.

Why is the OTP capture by screen not available though the App Store version?

The screen recording APIs are only available to App Store apps that are doing actual screen recording, not doing things like looking at the screen for QR codes. Glad to hear switching to the direct download helped. :+1:
