Forum question approvals don't make much sense

I posted a question. A notice "question will be displayed after it is approved" showed. I do not know why this happened and why with this particular question. The question still shows up in my drafts. I do not know what is happening to the question. I am now confused. Furthermore, posting the question activated the 5-minute timeout of a "spam" filter. Please, review this part of the forum workflow.

    The post was detected as potential spam by the automated system (much like an email might be). As such it was put into our queue to review before making public. We've reviewed your post and determined it wasn't spam, so it has now been posted. Thanks! :)
