Different mode of authenticating extension for Firefox?

Hi,
I installed extensions for Safari and Chrome successfully. Now I wanted to install the Firefox one. The process seems to be different though. Is it correct that the Firefox extension asked my for login details to the account instead of linking to the MacOS app?

    It sounds like you downloaded 1Password X in your Firefox browser, but you are using the companion browser extension (desktop app required) in Safari and Chrome. If you want the same extension for Firefox, please download it from here.
