Now that I have set up my 2FA with 1PW, can I turn off the 2FA on my other accounts, like on Google and Apple, so that it is all streamlined within 1PW?

1Password Version: 7.5
Extension Version: 4.7.5.90

Apple uses its own kind of 2FA, not the default TOTP that 1Password implements.

So please don’t turn off 2FA for your Apple ID.

Apple, for one, you would not want to turn off as @XIII mentioned. As to Google, I am not familiar with their service very much. I only have one service through them. That service is using 1Password for its 2FA codes. Maybe someone else can give more insight.

  • 2FA shouldn't be disabled for the services you use (beyond temporarily for setup purposes), but rather 1Password should be set up to generate codes for those services, where possible:

Use 1Password as an authenticator for sites with two-factor authentication

    I hope that helps!
