Changing clipboard behavior on particular sites (mainly google)

When you login to google the process goes like this

  1. email > 2. password > 3. 2FA

The problem is that when I first select my account within 1password and 1password fills the form in step 1 it assumes that the password was pasted despite there not being a place for it.

It then copies the one time password to my clipboard which I don’t need yet. This makes me have to validate twice within 1password to log into a site.

I’m sure it’s not exclusive to google.

I wish there was a setting that would always copy the password first in auto fill vs going straight to one time password

    Hi @GoldenMustache!

I wish there was a setting that would always copy the password first in auto fill vs going straight to one time password

I think the reason why this is our default choice is that most websites still have the username and password in the same form, on the same webpage. The one time password is then entered into a different page, so it makes sense to copy it.

I think websites that split the login form over several pages are still a minority, so perhaps this is a good default behavior, if you have to choose one of the two.
