User does not receive invitation email

I had a few new user to add. All received the invitation email with the link but one of them did not. I tried resending and resending. The invitation email did not go through. Ran a message trace and there is no sign of the email hitting our mail server at all. I also sent the manual invitation link to the user and had him click on it and enter his information. Still no invitation email. Tried the same things on the next day, still the same. Any ideas?
